YAZD, Nov. 17 (MNA) – Ikat is a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs resist dyeing on the yarns prior to dyeing and weaving the fabric. In Iran, Ikat is called Darayee and has been carried out in different areas and now in Yazd there are some workshops to produce it.
